Dr. CAI Guang-Yan is a Professor of Medicine and the Head of the Division of Nephrology at the Chinese PLA General Hospital. He has actively been involved in several activities in nephrology communities like Executive Committee member of ISN in 2023, Executive Committee member of APSN in 2024, ISRNM Membership Committee Chairperson in 2021 etc. He is the President of Chinese Society of Nephrology and the President of Beijing Society of Nephrology. His research interests include kidney diseases in elderly, hypertension in CKD, biomarkers of kidney diseases, and stem cell therapy in AKI. He has more than 200 peer review publications as first or corresponding authors. He has received several national research grants and awards.
